Hi, I'm Jaclyn!
I'm a writer, storyteller, researcher, and social media expert. I'm also a big fan of hammock selfies, as you can see. Livin' la vida buena down in Austin, Texas. Coloradan by birth, but I got here as fast as I could.
With over 10 years of marketing experience, I now apply my expertise to help integrative health and wellness practitioners stay on top of the latest trends in digital marketing and shout about all the good they're doing in the world.
I’m passionate about assisting practitioners in developing their online voice and expanding their reach so that they may focus on what it is they do best–helping clients overcome obstacles to achieving optimal mental, emotional, and physical health.
For the past four years, I have been the social media voice of Kerbey Lane Cafe, an iconic Austin restaurant chain that serves thoughtfully-sourced comfort food, leads various philanthropic efforts to give back to the community, and champions the professional growth of its team members through leadership training.
As a Contributing Blogger for The Austinot, I wrote about restaurants that serve locally grown produce and where to find the best gluten-free eats, as well as nonprofit events, woman-owned businesses, and sustainability.
Most recently, I held the position of Digital & Social Media Specialist at the Center for Child Protection, a nationally accredited children’s advocacy center that specializes in reducing and treating child trauma.
In March 2019, I will begin training to become a Functional Medicine Certified Health Coach (FMCHC) from the Functional Medicine Coaching Academy, founded in collaboration with the Institute for Functional Medicine. Expanding my knowledge in this field will be of added value to my clients.
When I’m not writing, you can find me cooking Paleo-ish meals, thrifting for one-of-a-kind finds, and attempting to keep my house plants alive. I also enjoy hiking, swimming, and camping with my partner, Brad, and our two dogs, Cali and Prudence.
